Program Introduction

Most business owners have only a vague idea about the value of their company. I am frequently asked to provide a confidential, low cost, “ballpark estimate” of the value of their business. Often this is in contemplation of a future sale of their company.

For this Do-It-Yourself (DIY) course, you need only your latest year-end financial statements - balance sheet and income statement, and some common sense judgment. I will walk you through the twelve (12) step valuation procedure. I go into the details. Your math will be additions, subtractions, and three simple multiplications. Once you have your statements, it may take upwards of an hour to complete the course. Following these steps will give you that “ballpark estimate”. As the time nears to sell your company, consider using a professional business valuator to further refine the results.
